Sweet Dreams Tincture
Why these herbs?
Passionflower (30%): Calms the mind and helps reduce racing thoughts for easier sleep.
Lemon Balm (30%): Eases tension and mild stress, creating a peaceful foundation for rest.
Chamomile (20%): Gentle, soothing support for relaxation and sleep onset.
Hops (20%): Traditionally used for its sedative effects and to quiet a restless mind.
Hereβs how you can make your own formula (like this sleep tincture):
Fill a jar halfway with dried herbs (chop or grind for maximum surface contact. Don't use powder though). (You can use fresh herbs if you have these in your garden. But if using fresh herbs you will want a minimum of 100 proof alcohol to compensate for the water content in the fresh plant materials).
Measure out your herbs using: 30% passionflower, 30% lemon balm, 20% chamomile, and 20% hops.
Fill to cover with 80β100 proof vodka (thatβs 40β50% alcohol). Leave room at the top for expansion, but make sure all herbs are submerged to prevent mold.
Cap the jar, stash in a dark place for about 6 weeks, and shake every few days.
When ready, strain, label, and enjoy restful sleep!
